Planning tool only

BaseLayer provides preliminary arithmetic estimates for material planning. Results are not structural engineering, pavement design, drainage design, geotechnical advice, code or permit approval, a supplier order, a contractor bid or a warranty.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for checking dimensions, units, density, bag yield, prices, allowances and site conditions. Confirm the required section and final purchase quantity with appropriate suppliers, manufacturers, installers, designers or authorities before acting.

Defaults and presets

Defaults and project presets are editable planning aids. They are not universal requirements. Soil strength, drainage, freezing, traffic, product system, local practice and project specifications may require different values.

No guarantee

We do not promise that a result is complete, error-free or suitable for a particular site. Material properties and supplier practices vary. Use the tool at your own judgment and verify important decisions independently.

Acceptable use

Do not interfere with the site, attempt to defeat security controls, misuse the service to harm others, or represent calculator output as official approval.

Technical references are provided for context. Their owners control their content, and an external reference does not imply sponsorship or endorsement of BaseLayer.

Changes and availability

The calculator, formulas, defaults and these terms may be updated or discontinued. The effective date will be revised when material changes are made.
